The Ontario Food Collaborative has concluded its operations. 

After 10 years of fruitful collaboration, the Ontario Food Collaborative has wound down its operations. 

We are grateful to everyone who participated in our webinars, symposiums, and shared learning over the years, and who helped advance food literacy and food waste prevention across Ontario and beyond. 

Our website will remain active for the foreseeable future and will continue to host key resources, including our Food Waste Audit Guide (2019), Sustainable Food Waste Solutions Handbook (2024), and archived webinar and symposium recordings. 

The Food Waste Toolkit created in 2025, in partnership with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), and in collaboration with York Region and York Region Food Network (YRFN), will now be managed by YRFN at yrfn.ca/beyond-the-green-bin.
